This space-saving LCD flat panel system offers the same functionality and similar features as it's DLP rear projection counterpart, although in a smaller footprint and at less cost. April 2005. Bill Farah, Americon President, announces that US defense contractor purchases 45 more Americon OMNI 120 Degree Consoles for shipment to Iraq. The new contract increases the total order to 220 consoles and calls for immediate delivery. The consoles will be employed in command and control centers throughout the country. No further details were given regarding deployment.
February 2005. Major US defense contractor awards Americon contract to manufacture 175 OMNI 120 Degree consoles for shipment to Iraq. Although the specifics on deployment of the consoles were not disclosed, the workstations will be supporting military operations and reconstruction efforts throughout the country.
